Ask me anything
A fan of Dr. Quinn, Gilmore Girls, Glee, Castle, Once Upon A Time, Downton Abby, & The Voice. This blog is a mix of things so I hope you enjoy.
When I wrote A New Dawn after the Still episode, I had no idea a proposal was coming our way. My first thought was that Rick had put a necklace in her pocket, but not so. As I began Finding Always, I have Kate and Rick in different places, with Kate doing a lot of thinking. It’s hard to write them apart and I couldn’t keep the whole fic that way either. Bear with me till the end, I promise it will be worth it.
Rick follows Kate to Washington, D.C., but things quickly fall apart and Kate is left alone with her thoughts. It isn’t until an unexpected phone call when things begin to look up. Could there be hope for her love?

For reasons that my original post with my top three from S1-S4 didn’t seem to want to handle my S5 top three, they shall get their own page.
Still S5x21: I love flashback episodes and this one was a great gift from Marlowe and company. It was great to look back at how far Kate and Rick have come in their relationship. And we finally got the “Rick, I love you.”
Lives of Others 100th Episode S5x19: Castle’s fasination with the window across the way was hilarious! I loved the Mil-Mar cameo and that he dragged Alexis into to the spying as well. Great episode.
Probable Cause S5x05: I had wanted to see 3XK back again and he was, but my verision he would have been caught. Not so :( Really great episode seeing Kate fight for her man and Rick taking things into his own hands to prove he didn’t do it.
Just when I thought
You were gonna say
Goodbye, you said hello
That you don’t want
To be without me
No matter what I do
Or where life takes me
Looking at you
Staring up at me
WIth blue eyes
Filled with love and tears
Asking me the biggest
Question of my life
We’ve been through so much
Kept too many secrets
Yet somehow weathered the storms
Driving each other crazy
Loving each other deeply
Going in circles until
Life turned everything
Completely upside down
With a dream in hand
Love in my heart
Scaring me with its depth
Knowing there is no turning back
Saying goodbye another day
Just to keep saying hello

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (same author who wrote Seabiscuit)- Amazing true story of a WWII Airman & POW. Its one of those stories you won’t soon forget.
The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan This follows the story of three sisters (real, not fictional) and the one who posed for Degas’s Little Dancer Aged 14. Beautiful story
Firefly Island & Blue Moon Bay by Lisa Wingate FI was a impluse check out at the library and I couldn’t put it down and I had to go find the other two books in the series. BMB being the 2nd and FI being the 3rd. So far I am really enjoying Blue Moon Bay.
The Univited Guests (author slips my mind) Story takes place in the same year as Downton Abby when it first started. Enjoyed the story that took place over a matter of days.
Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks A lot of his works tend to either end badly or well beautifully? This one I loved, beautiful story.
Accursed by Joyce Carol Oates a book for those of you who enjoy Gothic novels. Some history is thrown into a fictional event and the way its written it all seems believable.
Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling If there was ever a book with real life flawed characters, this would be it. No one in this story is perfect and yet JK can pull you into any story she writes and by the time I got to the end of this one, I went WOW!
Most of those are recent reads with one that isn’t. My nose is always in a book and some of those that I’ve listed are worth checking out. The latter two depends all on your taste.
